Our Tin Collection is inspired by the three holiest Mosques of the Islamic world: Masjid Al-Kabah Makkah, Masjid Al-Nabwi and Al-Aqsa.
The Masjid Al-Kabah Makkah tin is designed in burgundy and depicts the Sacred Mosque, also called the Great Mosque, surrounding Islam’s holiest place, the Kaaba, in the city of Makkah, the birthplace of the Prophet (saw) and where the Qur’an was first revealed to him.
The orange-coloured Masjid Al-Nabawi tin design shows the Mosque of the Prophet in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. Built by the Prophet Muhammad (saw) next to his home, it is one of the holiest sites in Islam.
The Al Aqsa tin has a blue design and depicts the silver-domed Al Aqsa Mosque in Palestine, known as the Noble Sanctuary, where the Prophet Muhammad (saw) was transported during the Night Journey before departing for Heaven.
Inside these gorgeous tins are Penny Appeal’s sweet and juicy Medjoul dates, grown for generations by Palestinian farmers in the fertile pastures of Jericho, a land famous for its natural spring water.
Rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals and packed with energy, they’re available in three colourful varieties, with a delicious sweetness that makes them perfect for young and old.
They really are the gift that keeps on giving: all proceeds go to support Palestinian date farmers and their families alongside Penny Appeal’s vital Palestinian projects.
Funding Penny Appeal’s mobile water tanker, supplying clean, fresh water to schools and hospitals.
